CMS Laboratory, Center for Measurement Standards, ITRI
The Center, a two-story structure with basement, is situated at the Kuang-Fu campus of the Institute. With a total floor area of 5,488 sq.m., a total construction cost of NT$103,500,000, the laboratory was completed in December, 1986. In addition to research on various measuring devices, the Center also calibrates instruments for the Bureau of Standards. To accommodate the requirements of the laboratories, the design includes mechanical controls for constant temperature and humidity, as well as maximum freedom from earthquakes, noise, and magnetic interference.
