High-Tech Integrated Logistics Center Phase II, Synnex Technology International (Shanghai)
As the world’s third and the largest in Asia Pacific regions logistic service network, Synnex Corporation is rapidly expanding throughout all major cities and regions in China with the headquarters located in Shanghai’s Hongqiao Hub Zone.
The original master plan calls for a warehouse with automated storage capability and five administration office buildings. Concerning the inefficiency of smaller size layout, the design team successfully convinced the owner to consolidate three dispensed offices into a large one laid out to shape a courtyard embracing the central greenery while emphasizing the 3-story high entrance.
To overcome the height limit set by neighboring airport, two levels of basement were deployed providing ample services including dining, retails and banks in addition to parking garage. The artium connecting activities from ground level to basement provides natural lighting to underground commercial plaza while setbacks on the top floors creating outdoor vertical garden for this Synnex international operation center.
