Huga Fab III and Headquarters Building
Given a six-meter difference of the site contours from north to south, the project utilizes the lower ground level on the southeast side as the entrance of the parking garage and the space for loading services. With fifteen meters recessed from the northwest boundary, the fabrication facilities including a nine-meter high ground level and five-meter high second and third level structure, are main production areas, where Light-Emitting Diode (LED), Epitaxy and Crystallite are manufactured. The six-story office building contains a grand lobby, staff office areas, conference rooms, research and development section as well as an employees’ cafeteria.
In order to convey the company’s image as technologically and intellectually advanced, the main building is arranged to face the main north-south roads of the Science Park, and adopts the north-south orientation to achieve energy conservation purposes, and also allows the main working spaces of the office building to command a beautiful view of the Dadu Mountain. The office building is clad with metal curtain wall system, and the factory uses the tone of the insulated metal panel to complement light gray and dark gray with an aim to establish the high-tech impression. Based on the client’s demands on production volume, the construction is divided into two phases. While phase I includes the office building and main fabrication facilities, phase II is planned to construct additionally the second fabrication building in the future.
