Kingyorker Headquarters

Situated at the intersection of two main streets in Neihu District, the site occupies a significant focal position in the vicinity. The front façade of the building is sheathed with a double envelope curtain wall of neat and simple design. The design concept of distinct layering extends from the exterior to the interior of the building, expressing through a transparency the sophisticated state-of-the-art image of the enterprise headquarters.

The building design not only emphasizes innovations of energy conservation, the structure also employs two different column spans to fit the property area. In the building, double-story height spaces on alternate floors together with column-free office areas provide maximum flexibility in interior layout for different business groups. On the west side of the 7th floor, a green roof is utilized to enhance the “Green Architecture" concept while creating a treasured “urban roof garden" for amenity of executive officers.

With a clear-cut modernist style complemented by eco-friendly double envelope glass curtain wall system, the entire building employs a variety of advanced sustainable designs, including an electric shading system, a perimeter automatic heat convection shaft, a thermal switch ventilator, and also a green roof. The project thus presents an unprecedented domestic achievement of a glass curtain wall building successfully integrating energy conservation systems into the building interior design.
